Education & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICSA) or qualified by experience to an equivalent level
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Experience, Knowledge, Understanding

  • Extensive senior management experience in a Governance/Company Secretarial role
  • Proven track record of advising Boards, Committees and Senior Teams on good corporate governance, regulatory and legal requirements and best practice
  • Demonstrable experience of the delivery of effective governance arrangements and the servicing of Boards and Committees
  • Knowledge and understanding of current legal, regulatory and statutory requirements applicable to the housing sector
  • Proven experience of leading and supporting the development of policies and strategies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Management
  • Experience of managing relationships with Internal Auditors
  • Understanding of equality and diversity in relation to effective governance
  • Good understanding of data protection law
  • Experience of implementing effective risk management frameworks
