Education & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  •  A professional accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA is essential
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Experience, Knowledge, Understanding

  • Extensive senior management experience in a Finance and Treasury role
    • Experience and knowledge of strategic treasury management, ensuring appropriate funding solutions are available to support growth
    • Evidence of leading business planning, budgeting and reporting processes
    • The ability to carry out regular stress testing against Business Plans and to convey the results and mitigating actions in a understandable manner
    • Evidence of managing procurement processes in line with regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and legal frameworks within which the Group operates
  • Experience of the successful delivery of excellent performance, balancing customer focus with business viability and commercial success
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures and best practice
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of key financial and funding issues in the sector to ensure a balanced portfolio of debt is arranged for the operation of the business
  • Experience of identifying and developing opportunities for financial and business growth
